We invite you to have your say to help us better understand the interests, needs and priorities of the recreational fishing community.

Recreational fishing is a valued and popular activity in South Australia with around 277,000 people enjoying this activity each year.

We need to help the recreational fishing sector grow, stay sustainable and secure. To do this, we've developed a draft Recreational Fishing Strategy for South Australia.

It has drawn upon the feedback from more than 4,000 survey responses to the MRFAC recreational fishing priorities survey (PDF, 268.9 KB) and significant input from MRFAC members.

When complete, the strategy will help to manage resources to better address priority growth areas to the benefit of recreational fishing.

The MRFAC will consider all feedback before finalising the Recreational Fishing Strategy for South Australia.
